Telebrands is accustomed to selling strictly household gadget items, until now. They have succeeded in selling not one, but three how-to books. The first two books titled “Who Knew? 10,001 Easy Solutions to Everyday Problems” and “Natural Solutions to Things That Bug You! Dr. Bader’s Pest Cures,” have sold more than 1.6 million copies in only 6 months! The third book, “Grandma Knows Best: Great Kitchen Secrets” is expected to be in full rollout this month at only $10 a book.

 

 The former Hoboken Barnes & Nobel executive Bruce Lubin says it was a risk to try to sell books in a non-traditional way but A.J. Khubani, founder of Telebrands who has been in the direct-response business for 30 years, took the risk and surpassed many expectations. There has been great feedback from the direct-response television commercials as well as in the retail stores of Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS and Walgreens. So far, 3 of 3 titles have been a hit and with this success, more books are sure to be in the works.
